Marble, oak and sandstone: choosing materials that age well
26 July 2026, 5 min read

A home is touched thousands of times a day. Floors, counters and handles are where cheap materials show their age first, so that is where we spend the budget.
Italian marble in living rooms
Marble stays cool underfoot through a Pune summer. We seal it twice before handover and share a care sheet: pH-neutral cleaner, no acids, felt pads under furniture.
Engineered oak in bedrooms
Engineered boards move less than solid wood in the monsoon. They can be sanded and refinished at least twice over their life.
Sandstone on the facade
Our sandstone fins are sealed against water and need only a gentle wash once a year, which the society maintenance covers.
Talk it through with our team.
